Weekends are great

So have just finished an extremely busy week, I was filling in for the school leader while she was away at a conference in Australia. It was a stretching experience for all of us staff as we had to learn to step up in different ways. The school is going well and we are now into week 4. Just a little over two months and then we head off on outreach. It's going to be an exciting time for sure.

We have just finished a week of lectures on the Holy Spirit. That is always an interesting week and usually much different than many people have seen. My real hunger (which has been brewing for the past year) is to see the power of the Holy Spirit revealed to all, especially in the area of healing. I definitely wouldn't mind healing for my diabetes but I really desire for more healing to be seen here on earth. A book that has been really inspiring for me is "When Heaven Invades Earth" by Bill Johnson. I could go on about this subject but I will just leave it at that for now.

What else to say? I am still relying on God for the rest of my finances (I need $2500 CDN by May 18). It's a bit of a scary thing but He has provided so far and I trust that He will continue to do so. I would ask that you help me out by praying specifically in this area. Thank you for your support in that.

As always, please feel free to keep me up to date with your lives. Thanks for your continued support.

Outreach Location

So after great anticipation, I can now announce where we are going on outreach! Here is a preview of our itinerary...
We start off in Hong Kong at the end of June and from there head to China for about 3 weeks. After that we are going to India for two weeks and then to Oman for 1 1/2 weeks followed by Yemen for 2 1/2 weeks. After all of that we will be regathering with the rest of the school in Israel to debrief and graduate the students, sending them out from the Mount of Olives (where Jesus sent out his disciples from)! I will also be graduating my BLS (Basic Leadership School) at this time. Very exciting! God is so faithful and He has been showing me many things during the last little while. It is very exciting here as the students are starting to arrive and there is so much potential on the base. I am eager to see how God is going to work on this school. Please continue to pray for me in leadership that I am able to keep everything in balance. Also that I will have the courage to step into new areas such as healing, worship and prayer. I really want these to be a central part of my life, not just something that I do when I am feeling "spiritual". Also for finances, I still need $3500 to pay for the rest of outreach (does anyone want to buy my home stereo system?). Thank you for all your support in many different ways.

Thought I would also attach some pictures of where I am living right now, just so that you can feel more connected with what I am doing here. I have been super blessed this school to have a more private living area (instead of 6 guys in one bedroom), where I am sharing with 3 other people, Josie (our training director), Mel (the school leader) and Ben (who was my outreach leader on my snowboarding DTS). It's a cozy little place for sure!

The bedroom (only 2 guys this time!)

The kitchen (where Josie can cook up a mean dinner/tea)

The hang out area (during our precious spare time)

That's it for now. As always, please feel free to contact me and keep me updated with what is going on back at home, or wherever you are. I love hearing all your stories.
