It ain't always easy

I just wanted to write and say how much I appreciate my mom and how tough it is for me to be away from home during this time. I phoned home the other morning for Mother's Day and it was so great to talk to my mom and hear how things are going back at home. But throughout the whole conversation afterwards and seeing other people here on the base being away from home and really missing their families, made me realize how tough it is actually to be a traveller or missionary, especially when we come from a family that is so supportive. I really need my mom and my dad to lean on during some of these tough times emotionally that I have been going through. And I really miss them when I am away from them for so long. This isn't supposed to be a pity party for me, just thought I would write on how much I appreciate my family. They are so supportive. I guess this may be an encouragement for you to pray for the people that you know that are away from home and serving the Lord. It may appear to be glamourous from the other side (especially when the work is in New Zealand or some other beautiful foreign country) but it still is work and there are still tough times and they need support. Encouraging words and prayers mean sooo much. So... support your missionary friends, or those that you know are serving the Lord in their own way that is outside of their comfort zone. And thank you all so much for your support of me. I will try to write an update as to what has been going on here lately in the next week or so. It has been tough and very busy at times but it is all good and God is even gooder! He is faithful through it all and knows WHAT I need WHEN I need it. I am learning to trust in Him in every situation as hard as it may seem at the time...
